Role Description

The Part-Time Afterschool Enrichment Teacher will deliver structured, engaging lessons to elementary and middle school students in an on-site setting in Atlanta, GA. This role includes leading tennis, pickleball, and other enrichment activities; facilitating skill-building exercises; and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities involve preparing and implementing lesson plans, managing groups of students safely, and supporting program goals around confidence, leadership, and real-world skill development. The teacher will collaborate with school staff and program leadership, communicate with families as needed, and ensure sessions start and end on time. This is a part-time, on-site role aligned with afterschool hours, with potential opportunities to support occasional weekend or summer programming.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan and organize age-appropriate lessons and activities, including strong Lesson Planning skills.

• Background or interest in Education and youth development, with familiarity with afterschool or enrichment environments.

• Strong Communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with school staff, and interacting with families.

• Demonstrated Teaching experience or informal instructional experience (coaching, tutoring, mentoring) with school-age youth.

• Training skills, including the ability to demonstrate techniques, provide clear instructions, and offer constructive feedback.

• Experience or comfort leading sports or physical activities (tennis/pickleball experience preferred but not required, training available).

• Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive spaces for youth from diverse backgrounds.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work consistent afterschool hours in Atlanta, GA; background check clearance required.
